Names of the dead in Gaza

The body count in the Gaza conflict keeps rising by about 50 a day, its easy enough to graph these things. But they are real people, not just numbers. They have families, they had dreams and aspirations any one of them could have been the next Tim Berners-Lee.

These are their names that I've scratched from news reports and blogs, roughly in date order, its about an eighth fifth of the total killed so far. (updated 15-JAN-2008)

  1. Well done.

We are using this info to hold a naming of the dead ceremony in Tunbridge Wells this Saturday.

    Keep up the good work!

  2. We are also holding a vigil, but ours is for the dead children of Gaza. The vigil is tomorrow (Sat. 24), in our town, Thunder Bay. I will post a list of the names we have collected afterwards on my blog. It is very painful to archive death, particularly as the means of death have been so cruel, inhumane, and criminal.
